MDS-AD: For early detection of Alzheimer’s Disease

Do you have loved ones who are 60 years old and above, who tend to forget names, places, and dates; have difficulty performing everyday tasks; get easily confused; and can lapse into depression and anxiety? Perhaps these are just signs of aging. But maybe, these can be symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, which is a neurodegenerative disease and the most common form of dementia.

Just to be on the safe side, it would be best to have them take the MDS-AD, or Multimer Detection System – Alzheimer’s Disease test.

MDS-AD is the first blood test in the Philippines that detects amyloid beta oligomers, which are the major culprits in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease. Available only at Hi-Precision Diagnostics, this easy and value-for-money test provides early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Catching the disease at its initial stages can help the doctor prescribe the appropriate medicine. The effectiveness of medication is known to be higher during the early stages, thus, early detection of Alzheimer’s disease matters.
