A movie about a 118-year old foul-mouthed and stubborn woman who is eager to die, and yet cheered on by neighbors to keep breathing and win “the oldest living grandmother in the world” title swept the most number of awards on Sunday night’s 3rd Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino “Gabi ng Parangal, Pagkilala at Pasasalamat” at One Esplanade Manila.

Officially the festival queen, Lola Igna was named Best Picture and also bagged the awards for Best Musical Score, Best Screenplay, and most significantly the Best Actress Award for 85-year-old movie veteran Angie Ferro, who was just named one of Philippine Cinema’s luminaries at the “Sine Sandaan” grand gala a few days earlier.
