The Philippines will have shorter days and longer nights because of the autumnal equinox, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The weather bureau said the autumnal equinox will occur at 3:50 p.m., “hence, thereafter, Philippine nights will be longer as the Sun moves below the celestial equator towards the southern hemisphere."
