The building housing the national headquarters of the United Architects of the Philippines is made of steel and glass. The home of Filipino architects, the structure proudly stands at 53 Scout Rallos Street, Diliman, Quezon City.

But today’s construction is quite a far cry from its generation many years ago. There are now several types of tempered glass of low emissivity. There are also recycled glass panels frequently used on exterior claddings of buildings, coupled with aluminum composite panels of varying degrees and of high density compositions.
