Since its re-launch in 2017, UNTV’s documentary show,”Istorya,” has told numerous inspiring stories of ordinary people.
Hosted by Angela Lagunzad, who also serves the executive producer, the show airs every Saturday at 5 to 5:30 p.m.
In line with its second anniversary celebration, Lagunzad hosted a luncheon thanksgiving at Bigoli Restaurant in Trinoma, Quezon City last week.
“I’m so happy that we have reached this milestone by far. I’m grateful for my network, UNTV, and of course, Kuya Daniel Razon’s support,” she told The Manila Times.
Some of the stories she documented were Ifugao wooden scooter race champion Robert Duyugen; Banaue Rice Terraces farmer Pedro Banayan, clef-palated artist Rizal, Baguio City weaver Eliza Chawi and bone tuberculosis-stricken boy Angelo of Baseco Compound.
Besides hosting and producing “Istorya,” Lagunzad is also news anchor of “Ito Ang Balita,” weekdays, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and co-hosts “Good Morning Kuya” with Daniel Razon, weekdays, 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
She is also a trained rescuer, true to the banner and advocacy of UNTV and an advocate for the rights of Persons With Disabilities.
