CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba City: A fireman of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) died while undergoing training at the National Fire Training Institute in this camp Wednesday. According to Chief Insp. Jude Delos Reyes, BFP spokesman, Fire Officer 1 Clinton Obedoza, 25, died of multiple organ failure. Obedoza had just completed the ropesmanship rescue training, as qualifier for membership to BFP. He was at his barracks when he collapsed. He was rushed to the Calamba Doctor’s Hospital but died while undergoing treatment. Obedoza had been with BFP National Capital Region for two years now. BFP rules out hazing at the training. Based on BFP records, Obedoza had no pre-existing medical condition at the time of his entry in the training.
