Jose Mari Chan with mascot Eldar and Princess EK

Singer-songwriter Jose Mari Chan heralded the holiday season with his songs we grew up listening to for one musical treat at Enchanted Kingdom on September 15.

Converged at EK’s Spaceport open grounds, park goers and fans alike were serenaded by the “King of Philippine Christmas Ballads.” Performing his greatest holiday hits that we normally hear on the radio today and in at full-volume speakers in malls prompted spectators to sing along with Chan. Topping the list were “A Perfect Christmas” and the famous Yuletide anthem for many Filipinos, “Christmas in our Hearts.”

Despite the fast-changing music trends, audiences’ warm reception to Chan’s holiday playlist proved that his masterpieces have never been forgotten by people and keenly never will be. Fans were also thrilled by a meet-and-greet session and album signing with him after the event.

The OPM veteran’s musical show was also a prelude to the much-awaited celebration of Enchanted Kingdom’s anniversary. Turning 24 this October 19, the country’s world-class and leading theme park gears up exciting activities and surprises to give the guests a delightful promise of creating ore magical experiences in the coming years.
