Shining moment for new ‘Little Stars’

It was a shining moment for Danaielle Haley Magtoto and Nyle Quinzel Tapdasan when they were named SM’s Little Stars 2019 during the pageant’s grand finals held at the SMX Convention Center in Manila.

Magtoto, 8, who represented SM City East Ortigas, and Tapdasan, 7, from SM City North Edsa, wowed the audience by their delightful piano performances. Magtoto played the classic “Turkish March” by Mozart (Rondo Alla Turca Fast Beat), while Tapdasan amazed the audience with his rendition of “The Entertainer.”

The evening showcased the talents of other shining stars. These included first runner-up Ludwig Hans Carizo of with his “Fight Song” song performance by Rachel Platten; second runner-up Gio Ryan Valerio who delighted the audience with an energetic drum performance of “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi; and third runner-up Patrice Michaela Asuncion who danced her way to the audience’s hearts with My Little Pony’s “Magic Dance.”

Hosted by Ryan Agoncillo and SM Little Stars 2014 grand prize winner Chunsa Jung, the event’s distinguished board of judges included singer and actress Karylle, movie director Joey Reyes, TV personality Tuesday Vargas and SM Little Stars 2013 third prize winner Esang de Torres.
