Rey Suerte and Alex Diakhite shone as University of the East (UE) foiled a late Adamson University blitz for an 80-74 win on Saturday in Season 82 University Athletic Association of the Philippines men’s basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The Red Warriors squandered a nine-point lead and were threatened at 68-69 late in the game when Senegalese center Diakhite and Suerte came to the rescue.
