GenTri clinches back to back seal of child-friendly award

 

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite: The City government, represented by Dr. Jonathan Luseco, city health officer, and Rebecca Generoso, local social welfare head, brought home the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Award during the regional awarding held at Ynares Event Center, Rizal Capitol Compound in Antipolo City on October 2. Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista, chairman of Council for the Welfare of Children, handed the award with representatives of the Department of the Interior and Local Government. Annual and regular assessment is done among local government units to ensure that the functions of the councils are performed, including the use of funds for children’s welfare. The cities of Bacoor and Imus and the towns of Magallanes, Kawit, General Mariano Alvarez and Alfonso are other recipients of the award.
