NOW Corp., a listed telco firm focused on providing wireless broadband service, said on Monday it secured a deal to provide broadband internet access to BrenPro Inc. a player in the eSports market.
In a disclosure, the company said it inked a two-year Fiber Air service agreement with BrenPro, where the latter installed the network in BrenPro’s 2,000-square meter eSports training facility in Makati City.
“Internet connection is mission critical for BrenPro and NOW Corporation’s Fiber Air is more than capable and willing to answer the challenges of low latency and high capacity internet, and provide the best service it can to improve and promote the Philippine eSports industry,” NOW Deputy Chief Executive Officer Rodolfo Pantoja said in the filing.
Last week, NOW said it bagged a multi-year broadband deal with Union Bank of the Philippines, where the firm would deliver one gigabit per second internet connectivity to the lender’s corporate headquarters in Ortigas Center, Pasig City via fixed wireless.
Its affiliate NOW Telecom found its grip reaffirmed in the local telecommunications sector in February 2018 after President Rodrigo Duterte granted the company with a 25-year extension in the market strengthened by the Republic Act 10972.
