Ateneo beats Adamson for 9th straight win

ATENEO De Manila University notched its ninth win in a row after beating Adamson University, 80-74, in Season 82 University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Graduating forward Thirdy Ravena came through with a season-high 23 points, five assists, four rebounds, one steal and one block to help the two-time champions Blue Eagles stay unscathed.

William Navarro logged 11 points and eight boards, Matt Nieto also added 11 markers while Matthew Daves chipped in 10 points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting from the field.

The Soaring Falcons fell to their fourth straight loss and to a share of No. 6 with University of the East anew on a similar 3-6 slate. JEREMIAH M. SEVILLA
