THE City Government of Manila lifted the closure order on of its malls on Friday after it had fully complied with the necessary permits, an official said.
Levi Facundo, chief of the Bureau of Permits, said the mall has secured all of its requirements as lessor and operator of all its cinemas and had correctly declared its occupied space and number of employees.
Isetann, in total, has paid more than P3 million, including the right amount for corrected floor space, for which its management would have paid P5 million without a tax amnesty, said Facundo.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso warned that further violations could lead to the revocation of the mall’s business permit.
“Hindi kami manghihinayang, kasi pagsasaayos ang ginagawa natin (We are not regretting anything because we are trying to do something),” Domagoso said. JOSH VERA CRUZ
