BARMM TAPS PCOO IN COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

COTABATO CITY: The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s Bureau of Public Information (BPI-BARMM) held a two-day media communications workshop here. BPI-BARMM Executive Director Dr. Norodin Salam on Saturday said this is line with its efforts to disseminate quality information to the Bangsamoro populace. The workshop, conducted in partnership with the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), was participated in by the information officers and communication staff of the BARMM’s different ministries and offices. This was part of the BPI-BARMM’s communications strategy development in providing quality information to the Bangsamoro people in terms of the Bangsamoro Government’s accomplishments, affairs, policies and programs, according to Salam. awyer Naguib Sinarimbo, BARMM spokesman and Local Government Minister was optimistic that the workshop would provide a communications strategy “on how to make a new image for the region.” PCOO Undersecratary George Apacible said the PCOO’s mandate is to engage and involve the citizenry and the mass media in order to enrich the quality of public disclosure. During the activity, the new set of officers of the BARMM’s Guild of Information Officers took their oath before Usec. Apacible, Sinarimbo, and BPI-BARMM Executive Director Salam.
