BEIJING: European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton Friday pressed China for a dual-track strategy on Iran involving dialogue and the threat of sanctions.
Her comments came as the West pushes China to agree to new sanctions against the Islamic republic over its disputed nuclear program—something the veto-wielding UN Security Council member so far has been reluctant to do.
