SOME congressmen give Presidential Chief of Staff Mike T. Defensor a good chance of winning a Senate seat now that he has announced his intention to resign from the Cabinet next week.
Defensor, who has said his candidacy has the blessings of President Arroyo, is due to resign on January 4.
