NEW DELHI: Tibet’s exiled spiritual leader the Dalai Lama said that it was in the interest of Tibetans to remain with economically powerful China as long as there is cultural autonomy, reports said Monday.

The Dalai Lama has been seeking greater autonomy for the Himalayan region within China, which he fled in 1959 and set up a government-in-exile in northern India.
