LOS ANGELES: A California resident has been charged with stealing sensitive military technology from US firms and trying to sell it to China, Thailand and Malaysia, justice authorities said Thursday.

Former Chinese national Meng Xiaodong faces a 36-count indictment on allegations he stole trade secrets from San Jose-based firm Quantum 3D throughout 2003 and 2004 with the aim of selling them overseas.
