KJ McDaniels scored eight of his 37 points in the extension frame as TNT KaTropa survived Alaska in overtime, 99-93, to maintain its unblemished slate in Season 44 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors’ Cup on Friday at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.

McDaniels, who also added 13 rebounds and six blocks, completed a lay-up before making a trey to give TNT a 95-91 cushion with only a minute and 47 ticks left en route to a league-leading 7-0 win-loss record.

Troy Rosario added 23 points and Roger Pogoy had 12 points also for TNT.

Alaska had a chance to win the game in regulation but Jasper Ayaay’s uncontested lay-up rolled out as McDaniels secured the rebound with only a few seconds remaining as time expired.

The Aces fell to 1-6.
