ILOILO CITY: Officials of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) recently visited Guimaras to evaluate and monitor the implementation of livelihood projects in the areas affected by the M/T Solar 1 oil spill.

The UNDP has released US$600,000 (P3 million) for the livelihood projects, US$600 for the socioeconomic assessment and P176,000 for the environment department as assistance to the conduct of environmental assessment.
