Filipina, Australian shot dead aboard car in Olongapo

 

A Filipina and an Australian aboard a car were shot dead in Olongapo City on Friday.

Olongapo City Police Director Col. Benjamin Sembrano identified the victims as Mila Bailey, 41, and Anthony George Wilson, 61.

Another one aboard was Wayne Bailey, 71, who survived the shooting and is recovering in a hospital. He was the husband of the Filipina.

A two-year-old toddler, also in the car, was unharmed.

The suspect, a certain Michael McLaren, also an Australian, was arrested immediately after a brief hot pursuit operation.


Bailey was the driver of a violet Sedan Mitsubishi Mirage where the suspect and the victims were aboard.

The shooting happened along Rizal Avenue near Ulo ng Apo Rotonda 1, West Bajac Bajac at 10:30 a.m.

McLaren, based on the account of the survivor, shot all people inside the car and immediately fled.

Police have yet to establish the motive for the murder.
