Chinese police bust cross-border drug trafficking ring

TAIYUAN: Ten people believed to be involved in a cross-border drug trafficking case were arrested in China’s Shanxi province, the province’s public security department said on Sunday. Police seized from them 21 kilograms of drugs. Police in Jinzhong City, Shanxi, found a suspected drug dealer in October last year. They then conducted an investigation and found more clues to a cross-border drug trafficking ring. This lead to the recent arrest. Under the help of law enforcement in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, police captured 10 suspects and 16 drug users. Further investigation into the case is underway.
