THE Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the Department of Trans¬portation and Communications (DOTC) to stop the implementation of the controversial radio frequency identification (RFID) program pending final resolution of the petitions for the project.
The High Court spokesman and concurrent assistant clerk of court, lawyer Jose Midas Marquez, said the High Tribunal following its regular en banc session issued a “status quo ante-order” and had asked the Transportation and Communications department to submit its comment within 10 days.
