METROBANK’s MetroRemit service was cited as the Remittance Product of the Year in the recently concluded The Asian Banker Philippine Awards 2019.
MetroRemit is Metrobank’s remittance service that offers a wide array of products and services through 300 remittance centers, partners, and tie-ups worldwide.
This enables depositors and clients of partner banks abroad and remittance companies to send money to the Philippines promptly and safely. After a comprehensive review and stringent evaluation, the Asian Banker and the International Council of Advisors determined that the product offered key innovations that merited the award.
One such feature of MetroRemit is its real-time crediting. Accordingly, any remittances made to Metrobank accounts are reflected almost instantly. Clients may also remit to other Philippine bank accounts, which are received within 24-hours. Other valuable add-on services include door-to-door cash delivery and cash pick-up at over 10,000 locations nationwide.
