Despite being advised by his doctor to rest and limit his physical activities, President
Rodrigo Duterte again took a spin on his motorcycle a week after he figured in an accident inside the Malacañang compound.
Duterte’s former top aide, Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, on Friday shared photos of the President riding a three-wheeled motorcycle.
In a text message, Go reported that the 74-year-old President went for a 10-minute ride at the compound of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) in Manila.
“Nag-motor ulit kanina. Mga 10 minutes sa PSG Compound (He went for a ride again [on Thursday night] for around 10 minutes at the PSG Compound),” Go said.
Duterte was advised by his doctor to rest after he complained of unbearable back pain that prompted him to cut short his trip to Japan this week.
Last week, Duterte fell off his motorcycle inside the Malacañang complex. He sustained minor injuries — light bruises and scratches — to his elbow and knee.
The President, nevertheless, is feeling “much better” now, according to Palace spokesman Salvador Panelo.
