CJ Peralta reorganizes SC divisions


SUPREME Court (SC) Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta has ordered the reorganization of the three divisions in the high court.

Peralta signed Special Order 2724 ordering the revamp in view of the retirement of Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio on Friday, October 25.

Peralta will sit as the permanent chairman of the First Division, while Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa will be the working chairman.

Other members of the First Division are Associate Justices Jose Reyes Jr., Amy Lazaro Javier and Henri Jean Paul Inting.

The Second Division will be headed by Senior Associate Justice Estela Perlas Bernabe, with Associate Justices Andres Reyes Jr., Ramon Paul Hernando and Inting as regular members. Justice Rodil Zalameda is an additional member.

Associate Justice Mario Victor Leonen will head the Third Division. The members are Associate Justices Alexander Gesmundo, Rosmari Carandang and Zalameda, with Javier as the additional member.
