Benilde strengthens networks for practicumers

The International Trainee Network (ITN), a global cultural exchange organization based in Los Angeles, California, commits to more years of partnership with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (Shrim) as they continue to create learning opportunities for its growing roster of next generation student leaders and industry giants.

The alliance was sealed in a renewal of memorandum signed recently at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami, Florida with ITN Los Angeles President and Owner

Aston Barnicoat, ITN Los Angeles Director of Operations Tiffany Zarrin and DLS-CSB Vice Chancellor for Academics Geronio Ulayao, who represented College Chancellor Robert Tang and DLS-CSB Shrim Dean Angelo Marco Lacson, in attendance.

This cooperation allows ITN to provide special assistance to Benildean hospitality students in search of the most ideal internship placements in American host companies through the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program.

The organization ensures that the practicumers engage in culturally immersive experiences in over 200 sterling hotel chains in various states such as the Hyatt, Marriott, Montage, Four Seasons, Westin and Greenbrier, as well as SBE Global Lifestyle Brands such as SLS and Delano, Nobu, Ballantyne, Gurney’s and St. Regis.

The opportunity allows the apprentices to complete their degrees with global training under the meticulous mentorship and guidance of some of the finest international industry professionals.

This collaboration between ITN and DLS-CSB is just one of the many initiatives of the college in its pursuit to provide access to quality and real world-ready education in and outside the four walls of its lecture halls, hatcheries and culinary laboratories through months-long immersions in various institutions in key cities around the world.
