THE American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) will lead local and international speakers at the Associations Summit 7 (AS7) which will be held on November 27 to 28, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), the biggest gathering of associations and association professionals in the country.

Amy Hissrich, ASAE vice president for Web Strategies and Communications, will make a presentation on “Future-proofing Your Membership Development Strategy” on Nov. 27.

ASAE will also conduct a half-day session called “ASAE Edu-Day” for more than 200 associations and association professionals here and abroad who will attend the summit.

Based in Washington, D.C., ASAE was established 100 years ago and counts as members more than 46,000 association executives and industry partners representing 7,400 organizations in more than a dozen association management disciplines.

With the theme “Fast to the Future,” the summit is presented by the Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE), with the support of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB). Other event partners are the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific and the PICC.

“Through AS7, we hope to help associations ‘future proof’ themselves by knowing what’s out there in terms of peer best practices, as well as for them to think strategically in terms of increasing their sources of revenue, enhancing their profile, and fulfilling their missions. We also invite associations to seize the social and professional development opportunities available from networking in an intimate setting with fellow members of the association community,” said Octavio Peralta, PCAAE CEO and founder.

The ANG SUSI Awards 2019 will also be handed out at the summit.

ANG SUSI is an acronym for Associations Nurture National Growth through Social Unity and Sustainability Innovation and it symbolizes the key role that the association community and its professionals contribute to national economic development.
