With close to 200 sellers and 200 buyers participating in the 18th year of Philippine Travel Exchange (Phitex), this annual event mounted by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), the marketing and promotions arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT), surely boosted tourism in the country once more.

Simultaneously held on October 20 to 27 was the MICE Buyers Invitational (MICECONnect) 2019 to promote the Philippines as a prime tourist destination for both leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibits/Events).
