Govt frowns at Meralco’s bid process

THE Department of Energy (DoE) reiterated its previous stance that Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) must allow more entities to participate in the second round of its competitive bidding for securing additional power supply, its top official said.

In a chance interview, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi said “if they want me to approve the TOR (terms of reference), I am telling them the kind of TOR that I want.”
