CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: A pregnant 16-year-old girl survived a gun attack on Tuesday morning while waiting for a ride along Father Masterson Avenue in Upper Carmen. Vicky, not her real name, of Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, accompanied by her mother, had just attended a court hearing when unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen fired at her face. She was rushed at the nearby hospital and was reported in crucial condition as of press time.

Maj. Ian Borinaga, the police station commander of Carmen, said the suspect probably aimed at the victim’s head and fired two shots, but missed thus hitting the neck instead.
