TWO Sangguniang Barangay (village) members in Negros Oriental were shot dead on Thursday morning.

Felipe Condez Jr., 60, and Jonesis Condez, both Sangguniang Barangay members of Barangay Kalamtukan in Bayawan City succumbed to gunshot wounds.

An initial report revealed that the shooting happened as the Condezes, who were on board a motorcycle, headed home at about 10:30 a.m. When they reached Sitio Napac-an at Barangay Kalumboyan, the assailants who were tailing them, drove closer and fired shots.
