Keep Calm, and Just Play

Sportsfest! Such a wonderful time to move around and give the bodies the exercise they deserve. Not only is it good for the health, it also gives students a chance to socialize and to cheer for their friends, classmates and batchmates.

This year’s sportsfest was affected by the moody weather, but smiles were seen in every corner of the room. Held last October 30, it started with a little rain followed by the beautiful sun. The sportsfest was officially opened after the torch relay led by Mr. Judelio Yap. Starting strong, there was a dancercise led by Mr. Nelson Sia, Ms. Renelyn Manacho, and Ms. Diane Lee. Of course, the students of CKSC love to dance, so right after the dancercise, the Dance Battle followed. In the midst of the Grade 9 students’ dance, it started drizzling; despite this, the Grade 10 students still performed wholeheartedly while the other students cheered them on. Unable to continue the sportsfest in the quadrangle, the student council decided to take it indoors (Grades 7 and 8 were moved to the basement, and the Grades 9 and 10 were moved to the auditorium). This didn’t stop the student council from giving their all in hosting different games like Maria Went to Town, Trip to Jerusalem, and others. There was also a special performance by Andruss Hilarson Go (10C), that left the students of Grades 9 and 10 smiling. Even though it rained, the JHS Students continued dancing with their hearts, cheering with their soul and playing with their minds.
