Australian caught in possession of firearm and bullets


The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) personnel in Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) stopped a Manila-bound Australian who was caught carrying a firearm and ammunition on Monday. Airport authorities found a .38 caliber revolver and 10 pieces of live bullets inside Stanley Wayne’s trolley bag when it passed the initial security check.

Wayne was a passenger of Philippine Airlines flight PR280. The firearm and ammunition have no license as well as permit to carry as required by the Philippine National Police-Firearm and Explosive Division. Wayne was charged with violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
