The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Saturday announced the opening of its 68th branch in Apayao province in Northern Luzon.
PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan Garma said the new branch was opened on November 28.
“The opening of the Apayao Branch Office is a concrete proof of the agency’s determination and commitment to bring the exciting PCSO gaming products closer to its loyal supporters,” Garma noted in a statement.
Apayao’s PCSO branch office, she said, is expected to serve 119,184 residents of the municipalities of Clanasan, Conner, Kabugao, Flora, Pudtol and Luna, among others.
Garma added that the branch office would also assist and attend to the needs of eight lotto outlets, eight keno outlets and an authorized small town lottery (STL) agent corporation, Mountain View Games of Chance Corp., in the province.
With the opening of a new branch, she said, the PCSO charitable programs could be more accessible to its beneficiaries with an aim to deliver services “even to the farthest areas of our country.”
From January to October this year, the lotto and Keno outlets in Apayao registered sales earnings of P1,204,960 and P1,081,908 respectively.
Joining Garma in the opening were PCSO Cagayan Officer in Charge-Branch Manager Heherson Pambid, Marilyn Marzan of PCSO Cagayan, Northern and Central Luzon Department Manager Laila Galang, Apayao provincial administrator Ma. Teresa Ravelo and Mayor Hector Pascua of Pudtol, Apayao.
In her first briefing as PCSO general manager, Garma said she would add regional offices to reach more clients and improve services in the country.
