John Leerams Chicano ruled the men’s triathlon finals to bag the first gold medal in the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Sunday in Subic Bay Boardwalk.

The 2017 SEA Games silver medalist defied odds to finish the 1.5km swim-40km bike-10km run and give the Philippines its first gold medal.
