AGATHA Wong won a second gold medal after topping the women’s taolu taijijian (wushu forms-straight sword) competition of the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) on Tuesday morning at the World Trade Center Hall A in Pasay City.
Wong tallied 9.65 points, enough for her to clinch double gold following her triumphant crown-retention bid in the taijiquan event last Sunday.
She overwhelmed eight other athletes to rule the event wherein she got silver in the previous edition.
Vietnam’s Thi Minh Huyen settled for the silver with 9.63 points while Brunei Darussalam’s Basma Lachkar took the bronze with 9.62 points. JEREMIAH M. SEVILLA
