Cotabato City’s most wanted killed in shootout

 

A joint operation of the police and military killed the most wanted person in a shootout in Cotabato City on Tuesday afternoon.

Cotabato City police and servicemen of the Army’s 5th Special Forces Battalion, with a warrant of arrest, had wanted to peacefully take custody of Kitab in his house in Barangay Kalanganan 2 but he resisted.

Kitab was wanted for more than a dozen high-profile cases pending in different courts.
Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi on Wednesday said the operation against Kitab was fully assisted by the city government.
