MARIT STINUS-CABUGON
SITIO Bantayan, Barangay Tacpao, Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental is a place that I will never forget. This was where in 2015, I had to abandon my ride in the middle of the road, run for my life (in heels), and lie prone on the ground while soldiers shot it out with members of the communist New People’s Army (NPA) who apparently had been lying in wait for our convoy.
