Maersk, the world’s largest container shipping company, announced that it will again reduce the number of shore-based staff in its offices in an unspecified number of countries in an effort to cut costs.

The lay-off will affect at least 200 employees, including up to 100 in Denmark. Its head office in Netherlands and the subsidiary headquarters in Hamburg Süd will also be hit, according to a report.
