THE impressive performance of Filipino athletes should not prevent the Senate from investigating the alleged “excesses” by the committee in charge of organizing the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, which the Philippines hosted in December.

Sen. Panfilo Lacson, in a phone patch interview on Thursday, cited “issues on the transfer of funds from PSC (Philippine Sports Commission) which is a government agency to a private foundation which is Phisgoc (Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee."
