SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte: The world’s shortest man is not found in Colombia as reported two years ago by the Guinness Book of Records. Interestingly, he lives in the southern Philippines, particularly in the mountain village of Imelda.

Curious individuals personally saw and talked to 26-year-old Junrey Balawing who stands barely 22 inches tall. He is 5-inch shorter than Colombia’s 31-year-old Nino Hernandez who, at 27 inches in height, was recognized “as the tiniest man in the world.”
