Philippine Senator and boxing’s only eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao on Thursday said the host Philippines’ second overall title victory in the recently-concluded 30th Southeast Asian Games once again proved the Filipino athletes’ resiliency and capability to win.
“Let me just say here and now that I have never doubted our athletes’ capabilities,” Pacquiao told this writer in a chance meeting a day after receiving his degree in political science at the University of Makati.
