TYPHOON “Ursula” made landfall over Salcedo, Eastern Samar on Tuesday, affecting several parts of the Visayas, some parts of Southern Luzon, and northeastern Mindanao, the state-run weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) last spotted Ursula at 20 kilometers east of Guiuan, as of 4 p.m. It was carrying maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It was moving westward at a speed of 25 kph.
