Russian Embassy on columnist Samonte’s  fears of nuclear attack and other issues

I HOPE that you have read about my press conference dedicated to the most significant [issues] between Russia and the Philippines that took place on Oct. 26, 2019. I am grateful to all journalists for their thoughtful, interesting and insightful questions.

The only questions that gave me pause were those asked by Mr. Mauro Gia Samonte, as these had very little to do with reality. I also have to confess that I was somewhat surprised by his unexpected emotional reaction to my answers regarding Russia’s “retaliation” in the unlikely case of a missile attack from the Philippine territory.
