COMPAÑERO/Caballero Bing Padilla is gone, per a full-page obit in the Philippine Star last Friday. He was patriot Otto Jimenez’s counsel, with whom we worked in the Light-A-Fire case (Olaguer v. Military Commission 34, 150 SCRA 144 [1987]). Low-key Bing quietly and effectively coordinated with the defense panel. (Also gone as 2019 ended was Sylvia Mayuga who, my late Dulce said, was her closest chum at St. Scho, a co-pilla, along with Toni Serrano.)
