THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) lifted the number coding for all types of vehicles on Monday after ashfall from a restive Taal Volcano blanketed the metropolis.

The number coding scheme, also known as the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP), is implemented in Metro Manila to ease traffic by reducing the volume of vehicles each day, except on weekends, based on their license plates' last digits.
