The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was ordered by the Office of the Ombudsman to carry out the preventive suspension of five DPWH Officials led by Assistant Director Virgilio Eduarte.
Ombudsman Samuel Martires has signed on May 15, 2019 ordering the six-month suspension of Eduarte, Attorney 4 Eulogio Laboga; Quality Assurance and Hydrology Division chief Brenilda Mendoza; Equipment management division chief Romy Gumban and Road Heightening and Tide embankment chief Serafin Lago.
