PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the start of the process of terminating the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) between the Philippines and the United States (US), Malacañang said on Friday, as the two countries' relations have turned "lukewarm."

Speaking to reporters, Palace spokesman Salvador Panelo said the Philippines would no longer wait for the US to respond to the President's warning giving Washington a month to reverse the visa cancellation of Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa.
