NEW YORK: Quarterback Eli Manning, who won two Super Bowls and was the face of the New York Giants franchise for more than a decade, is retiring from the NFL, the team said Wednesday (Thursday in Manila).
The Giants said Manning -- who spent all 16 seasons of his NFL career with the Giants after a draft-day trade in 2004 — will formally announce his retirement on Wednesday.
